Understanding Your Logistics Manager Salary: Hourly to Annual, Tax, and Super
For a logistics manager earning an hourly rate, annual pay is hourly × 38 hours × 52 weeks, with super paid on top and tax deducted using the 2026–27 scale.
What Is a Logistics Manager Salary?
A logistics manager oversees supply chains, warehousing, and distribution. Your pay can vary widely depending on the industry, location, and whether you are covered by an award or enterprise agreement. The Fair Work Ombudsman provides pay guides for awards such as the Storage Services and Wholesale Award, but many logistics managers are award-free and earn above the minimum. The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) reports that full-time adult ordinary time earnings averaged $2,083.70 per week in May 2026. For a 38-hour week, that is about $54.83 per hour. This figure is a useful benchmark, but your actual logistics manager salary will depend on your specific role and employer.
Converting an Hourly Rate to Annual Pay
To convert an hourly rate to an annual salary, use the formula:
Annual gross pay = hourly rate × hours per week × 52
We assume a standard 38-hour week, as this is the ordinary hours for full-time employees under the National Employment Standards. For example:
- $55 per hour × 38 hours × 52 weeks = $108,680 per year
- $60 per hour × 38 hours × 52 weeks = $118,560 per year
If you work more than 38 hours, your annual pay will be higher, but overtime rates may apply under your award. This calculation assumes the same rate every week with no unpaid overtime, penalty rates, or allowances.
Fortnightly Pay
Many employers pay fortnightly. Your fortnightly gross pay is simply your weekly pay multiplied by two. From the example above, $55 per hour gives weekly pay of $2,090, so fortnightly is $4,180. This can help with budgeting.
National Minimum Wage and Award Rates
The Fair Work Commission sets the National Minimum Wage. From 1 July 2026, it is $26.44 per hour or $1,004.90 per week for 38 hours. Casual employees receive a 25% loading, making it $33.05 per hour. A logistics manager would typically earn well above this. Award-covered employees have minimum rates set by their award. The Fair Work Ombudsman’s pay guides list the minimum rates for each classification. If you are covered by an award, your logistics manager salary must meet or exceed the award rate for your classification.
Casual Loading
If you are a casual logistics manager, your employer must pay a 25% loading on top of the base hourly rate. Do not enter a rate that already includes casual loading into our timesheet – use the base rate and check the casual loading box. The loading compensates for not receiving paid leave.
Tax on Your Logistics Manager Salary
Income tax for 2026–27 uses the resident tax-free threshold. The rates are:
- $0 – $18,200: nil
- $18,201 – $45,000: 15%
- $45,001 – $135,000: 30%
- $135,001 – $190,000: 37%
- $190,001 and above: 45%
Plus the Medicare levy of 2% (generally). For example, on an annual salary of $108,680, the tax would be approximately $24,167 plus Medicare $2,174, leaving about $82,339 after tax. Use our take-home pay tool for a precise estimate.
Medicare Levy Surcharge
If you do not have appropriate private hospital cover and your income exceeds certain thresholds, you may pay an additional Medicare levy surcharge. This is not included in our estimates.
Super Guarantee
Super guarantee is 12% of your ordinary time earnings, paid by your employer on top of your salary. For a $108,680 annual salary, that is an extra $13,041.60 in super, up to the maximum contribution base of $270,830. Super is not deducted from your pay – it is an additional contribution. See our super and packaging page for more details.
Comparing Your Logistics Manager Salary
The ABS average weekly earnings for full-time adults is $2,083.70 per week. This is a broad average across all occupations. Your logistics manager salary may be higher or lower depending on experience, location, and industry. The Fair Work Commission’s Modern Awards Pay Database contains the minimum rates for award-covered employees, but many logistics managers are not covered by an award. If you are unsure, check your employment contract or ask your employer.

Important Disclaimer
Annual pay calculated here is hourly rate × hours per week × 52. It assumes the same rate every week, no unpaid overtime, no penalty rates, no allowances, and no salary sacrifice. Super is estimated at 12% of ordinary earnings only, paid on top, and stops at the $270,830 maximum contribution base. Tax is the 2026–27 resident scale with the full tax-free threshold. Medicare uses the 2025–26 single reduction thresholds because the 2026–27 reduction thresholds were not confirmed here. HELP, the Medicare levy surcharge, and salary packaging are not deducted. This is an estimate, not a determination of your pay or tax.
Summary
To understand your logistics manager salary, start with your hourly rate. Multiply by 38 hours and 52 weeks to get annual gross. Add 12% super on top. Deduct tax and Medicare for an after-tax estimate. Use the Fair Work Ombudsman’s pay guides and the ABS average earnings as benchmarks. For a quick calculation, try our hourly conversion tool.
