Warehouse Manager Salary: Hourly to Annual Pay Guide for 2026–27
A warehouse manager under the Storage Services and Wholesale Award earns at least $27.32 per hour (Level 4), which annualises to $54,000 for a 38-hour week, but many earn above award, with the average full-time adult salary around $108,352 per year.
Understanding the Warehouse Manager Salary in Australia
If you're looking at a warehouse manager salary, you probably want to know how an hourly rate or annual offer stacks up after tax and super. This guide uses the standard 38-hour week and a 52-week year to convert between hourly, weekly, fortnightly, and annual figures. We rely on the latest Fair Work Ombudsman and Fair Work Commission data, plus the Australian Taxation Office rates for 2026–27.
Minimum Award Rates for Warehouse Managers
Many warehouse managers are covered by the Storage Services and Wholesale Award [MA000084]. The highest classification in that award is Level 4, which pays $27.32 per hour for full-time and part-time employees (from 1 July 2026). That gives:
- Weekly: $27.32 × 38 = $1,038.16
- Fortnightly: $1,038.16 × 2 = $2,076.32
- Annual: $27.32 × 38 × 52 = $54,000 (rounded)
If you're a casual warehouse manager, the award includes a 25% casual loading, making the hourly rate $34.15 (Level 4 casual). That annualises to about $67,500. Remember, the casual loading is paid on top of the base rate – never include it in the rate you type into a calculator.
Above-Award and Average Earnings
Many warehouse managers earn more than the minimum award rate. The Australian Bureau of Statistics reports that full-time adult ordinary time earnings averaged $2,083.70 per week in May 2026. That's about $54.83 per hour for a 38-hour week, or $108,352 per year. This figure includes all industries, so a warehouse manager in a high-paying sector (like wholesale trade) might be close to this average.
Converting Hourly to Annual: The Formula
The basic conversion is:
Annual gross = hourly rate × hours per week × 52
We assume 38 hours per week because that's the standard full-time week under the National Employment Standards. If you work 40 hours, adjust accordingly. For example, a warehouse manager on $30 per hour working 38 hours:
- Weekly: $30 × 38 = $1,140
- Fortnightly: $2,280
- Annual: $30 × 38 × 52 = $59,280
Tax on Your Warehouse Manager Salary
For 2026–27, the resident tax rates are:
- $0 – $18,200: Nil
- $18,201 – $45,000: 15% over $18,200
- $45,001 – $135,000: 30% over $45,000
- $135,001 – $190,000: 37% over $135,000
- $190,001+: 45%
Plus the Medicare levy of 2% (with reductions for low-income earners).
For a $54,000 annual salary:
- Tax: ($45,000 – $18,200) × 15% + ($54,000 – $45,000) × 30% = $4,020 + $2,700 = $6,720
- Medicare: $54,000 × 2% = $1,080
- Total tax and Medicare: $7,800
- Take-home pay: $54,000 – $7,800 = $46,200 per year, or about $888 per week.
Superannuation Paid on Top
Your employer must pay superannuation guarantee at 12% of your ordinary earnings, on top of your salary. For a $54,000 salary, that's $6,480 per year contributed to your super fund. The super is not deducted from your pay – it's additional. The maximum earnings base for super is $270,830 per quarter (2026–27).
Fortnightly Pay: A Handy View
Many employers pay fortnightly. For a warehouse manager on $27.32 per hour (38 hours):
- Fortnightly gross: $1,038.16 × 2 = $2,076.32
- Fortnightly tax (approx): use the tax tables – roughly $300–$350 depending on your circumstances
- Fortnightly super (paid on top): $2,076.32 × 12% = $249.16
Casual Loading and Other Considerations
If you're a casual warehouse manager, your hourly rate includes a 25% loading in lieu of paid leave. The award rate for casual Level 4 is $34.15 per hour. When converting to annual, use the same formula: $34.15 × 38 × 52 = $67,500. But remember, casuals don't get paid sick leave or annual leave, so the higher hourly rate compensates for that.

Important Disclaimer
This article is a guide only. Annual pay is calculated as hourly × hours per week × 52. It assumes the same rate every week, no unpaid overtime, no penalty rates, allowances, or salary sacrifice. Super is estimated at 12% of ordinary earnings only, paid on top, and stops at the $270,270 maximum contribution base. Tax is the 2026–27 resident scale with the full tax-free threshold. Medicare uses the 2025–26 single reduction thresholds. HELP, the Medicare levy surcharge, and salary packaging are not deducted. This is an estimate, not a determination of your pay or tax.
